Basic Training and Technical School
I joined the military in 1985 to get out of a dead end job and figure out a better career, save some money, and do some adventuring. I enlisted in June 1985 and entered basic training and technical training school. This is a picture of my dad and I at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland at my graduation from technical training.
F-15 incentive ride
My first duty station was the 57th Fighter Interceptor Squadron in Keflavik, Iceland. I won airman
of the quarter in Iceland and got an incentive ride in an F-15.
It was definitely the most fun I've ever had with my clothes on.
Aircraft Machinist
After my tour in Iceland, I was assigned to the 12th Flying Training Wing
at Randolph Air Force, Texas.
I am working on a fitting to repair a crack in a T-38 Talon fuselage.
